Throughout the book, the authors remain aware of the fine line that early-adopting educators have to tread: on the one hand, they cannot be overly dependent on ICTs (thereby turning education into a mere technological activity); and on the other, they should not over-estimate the power of technology that they minimise their own human influence on learning. About the authors
Dr Johann Hugo is a part-time lecturer of the teaching–learning strategies in the postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education at Stellenbosch University. He has extensive teaching experience across different disciplines. Mrs Lorraine Fakude is a lecturer and facilitator with more than 30 years' experience in health professionals' education. She lectures in both the undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes at the University of the Western Cape.
